A member of the Laestadian Lutheran Church

Recently we’ve communicated to our member congregations on our plans to purchase a facility that we will use as our central office after the lease expires at our current location. The lease for current LLC office space is expiring in 2021 and upwards of a sixty-percent increase was planned in negotiations of a new lease. The purchase of the building in Monticello, Minn., is under contract. In this video, LLC Board Chairman Jim Frantti tells about the project.

Currently a 60-day due diligence period is allowing discussion with city official and exploring the cost of the buildout. With the purchase of the new building and subsequent buildout, monthly costs are expected to be similar to current expenses. Closing is scheduled for February 25. Information will be communicated regularly to LLC congregations as the project develops.

We have already heard that there is excitement surrounding this endeavor. We are touched to know that many of you share in our joy that the LLC will now own its own office facility. Some have asked how they can support the efforts and share in the costs that we face as we outfit this building to serve the needs of our work and the needs of member congregations.

We have established a special fund for this. If you wish to donate, please go to Once there, you can select “LLC Office Building Project” as the fund you wish to donate to.We thank you in advance for your gift and for your prayers on behalf of this project. Your love and support are essential: without it, the work of God’s kingdom would be in vain.

Dear Sisters & Brothers in Faith:

Please take some time to participate in our North American-wide survey for the Domestic Mission Work Project. The survey is a beginning point to identify needs that you encounter when sharing the message of God's kingdom. We want to know what media you would use to access information that might help you answer questions that you are asked. As you answer the survey questions, please share additional comments that may help us to identify needs in this important area of work. We wish to hear from you so that we can develop materials and tools that meet your actual needs.

The link to the survey is here.

We trust that God, through His children, will open to us the needs and provide us the help to appropriately approach this project. Please remember this work in your prayers.

God's Peace,

Midwest Area Mission Committee, on behalf of the LLC Mission Department

The Deer Valley School district will not be allowing rentals in their district until after October. We recently met with the Phoenix board to discuss possible use of their facilities for Sunday School and services. From that discussion the following scheduled was agreed on.

The Phoenix schedule starting on September 20th, 2020 will be as follows:

  • 9:45 AM Sunday School for Phoenix
  • 11:00 AM Sunday Service
  • 6:00 PM Sunday School for Glendale
  • 7:00 PM Sunday Service
